What’s going on in the world of politics? Why does talking politics so often feel off limits or fraught with danger? How can we get back to the good old days when it was OK to disagree and we could still be friends despite different views?
At this meetup we’ll explore some of the causes of the political divide. We’ll start the meeting with a presentation “Your Brain on Politics” and give participants a chance to share their thoughts and perspectives about the current political divide.
After providing tips and tricks for using our brain’s amazing powers to make talking across differences easier we’ll break into pairs for exercises to explore the concepts we’ve learned and practice new skills that we can bring into our next difficult conversations.
