Whatever your political leanings, chances are you take politics seriously, and base your views on facts and reason. Yet, the fact that you are human suggests you may not be as logical and reasonable as you think. Why? Because we humans developed a set of mental shortcuts called cognitive biases to help us survive. In modern times, these handy shortcuts can get in the way of comprehending other points of views accurately and without prejudice.

Understanding our cognitive biases is fundamental to Crossing Party Lines and to Building Bridgers.

Join us in watching and discussing this series of seven short clips which illustrate a variety of cognitive biases and what we can do about them.

(Nothing to read before the meeting!)
