[second showing]
At past movie nights we’ve learned about some of the mental shortcuts (cognitive biases) we humans use to assess a situation or process information quickly and efficiently. We’ve also seen how these mental shortcuts can leave us prone to errors in judgement thanks to the fact that they evolved in simpler, yet more dangerous times.

At this movie night we’ll learn about a few more aspects of our operating systems that can trip us up. As with other mental shortcuts, knowledge is power: Just knowing about them gives us the insights we need to catch ourselves in the act and take control over how we think.

Join us as we watch and discuss three short videos that provide insights into how we interact with others, find truth, and discuss difficult questions.

(Nothing to read before the meeting!)
