In the past few weeks, many private and governmental organizations have announced that they will require workers to get the COVID vaccination or else face “consequences up to and including separation from employment.” Americans are expressing many different concerns. Some see these mandates as the best way to get the COVID-19 pandemic under control while others worry about the precedent these mandates set with regard to employee rights, invasion of privacy, and more. Still others ask whether/when it is appropriate for the government to interfere in a citizen’s health-related choices. What do our members think and why?
