Between the pandemic, protests, and fires, abortion hasn’t gotten much press lately. Yet it remains one of the most divisive issues facing America today. With a vacant seat on the Supreme Court, it’s sure to be in our hearts and minds, regardless of whether the media covers it.

Abortion has been legal in the U. S. since 1973, but recently many states have attempted to pass more restrictive abortion laws. Party identification and political ideology are strong predictors of one’s basic stand on abortion: 91% of liberal Democrats but only 27% of conservative Republicans say abortion should be legal in all or most cases. .” The truth is, though, that individual opinions are often more complicated than simply “pro-choice” or “pro-life.”

Come prepared to share your own views on abortion, and even more importantly, to understand the views of others and find common ground.
